It's Official! The Carter IV

This is the official cover for The Carter IV, Lil Wayne's ninth studio album. It looks like it's taking the same route as the last album art (but including more tattoos and a lip ring ). The album is set to drop June 28th.

Weezy New Video

Lil Wayne has done it again with another WIN!! The official video "6 foot 7 foot" has hit the internet, and has grasped everyone's attention with over 23,000 views in the first hour!!! Click the picture to check it out for yourself.

He's Out...and About

Rapper and "Supermodel" Lil Wayne's February Rolling Stone cover shoot and interview is out and on newsstands everywhere. His article entitled, "Out of Jail & On the Loose",talks about his time in prison, new music and features, the Carter IV and much more.

With 3-4 pre-prison tracks under his belt, he says, that the Carter IV will be released sometime in April of this year. So far, Wayne has been in the studio working with T-Pain and Kanye West. Other than the tracks before the Jail stint, Wanye said, the rest will be all new material.

Album Review: Lil Wayne Rebirth

Last week Lil Wayne released a new yet very different album. Rebirth was Waynes equivalent to Kanye's 808 & Heartbreaks noting his recent infatuation with singing. I must say, that I am highly impressed because I personally get tired of Wayne and most times desire more than his quirky metaphors. The rock n roll feel almost recreates a reason to listen to the guy. I give him a B! Listen to my favorite track.

Lil Wayne to headline "We Are The World" Remake

Remember the 1985s world healing song "We Are The World?" This was a combination of the music industrys leading artist starting with Michael Jackson, onto Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, and many more, all for the effort of creating a song that would insprie the world over. Well, 25 years later, Wayne and others are gathering for 2010s rendition. Think it'll have the same effect? Read the story here.

Is This a Good Move???

I'm not sure how I feel about this yet, but we are going to have to start calling Lil Wayne, Businessman Weezy. Last week I made a post about his new artist, Shanell. This week Weezy has announced the addition of Bow Wow and Omarion to the Young Money family.

I heard about Omarion joining earlier this summer, but Bow Wow came out of nowhere. Looks like Weezy is making some major moves signing all of these artists. Can't wait to hear some music from the new additions to Young Money.

Music Monday!

So I'm going to do Music Monday a little different today. In the 1905 (my apartment) you can find the most eclectic group of young adults; my roomy (@ASULamont), myself, and any of our random friends who pop up on a daily basis.
