Kanye West released his "All of the Lights Video" this week. Directed by Hype Williams and shot in Santa Monica, Calif., this play on color is very artistic. Shout out to Hype for his creativity. It's impeccable!

Grammy Family in Montgomery



Jubilee is really stepping their game up with two Grammy preforming acts; Janelle Monae and Bruno Mars. What great way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Jubilee with these two artisit. They are on tour together and will kick off thier Hooligans in Wondaland Tour in Montgomery on May 20th. There will be more information about this event at a new confrence next week. We will keep you posted until the big day!

We're Not Alone in This Race

People came out by the masses to the Montgomery Public Schools board meetings to find out the fate of many schools that are closing. So far, there are five schools closing in Montgomery County which will leave a lot of questions in the air. The main priority in this situation are the kids but, number two are the teachers. What will happen to the 50 plus teachers that won't have a job in August?

This week in Wisconsin, the Madison School District shut down schools this week due to the large percentage of school teachers that walk out. Governor Scott Walker’s proposed budget bill that would strip them and most other public employees in Wisconsin of most of their collective bargaining rights. Teachers as well as students gathered on the steps of the capital to protest this decision.

We are living in a democratic world and what we say, goes. Just because they pass bills on Capital Hill or in any state, does not mean we don't have the last word. If it wasn't for the people, there would be no society. So don't bite the hand that feeds you; pay homage.
